So, I have a confession to make. I used to be an idiot. I never had any desire to travel Europe. Luckily, Kendra did a study abroad program in college. For the first five years of our marriage, she would always try to Jedi mind trick me into wanting to go to Europe. And she finally succeeded, and I’m so glad she did. I’m happy to say I’m a reformed idiot, and I now have a triumphant Switzerland travel journal.

Though I never had much interest in Europe as a whole, I’ve always been interested in Switzerland. I had looked into it a bit more since that’s where most of my ancestors came from. I’d seen pictures of the beautiful mountains, lakes, and river…. plus there’s chocolate and cheese. Kendra saw this as her opportunity to pounce and use it as a gateway country to get me to Europe. So we decided to go to Switzerland in the fall of 2015. We wanted to go to more than one country, and since we were going to see my family’s roots, we decided to go see hers as well; in Croatia. We worked it out so we could hit Switzerland, fly to Italy and spend a day in Venice, and then take a ferry across the Adriatic to Croatia.View of Interlaken from our Airbnb

Well her plan worked. We went back to Europe the following year, and I don’t plan to stop going any time soon. Anyway, here is a list of places we went. I’d be honored if you clicked through to read about our adventures.
